Democratic Set Up

In order to promote democratic values, to develop leadership qualities among youths and to encourage students partcipation in the functioning of the college, a Pupil-Teachers Council has been formed at the college level so as to facilate sharing of students opinion in decision making. The council has been formed by the students electing their representatives.

Curriculum for Courses

Coursework

The academic calendar has been designed in such a way that will prepare future teachers to work successfully in a variety of educational settings with a range of students. In addition to a solid background in subject matter, students will develop a broadly based knowledge of the art and science bf teaching in secondary schools. Coursework and fieldwork integrates the practical and theoretical aspects of education with an understanding of subject area and professional education in local educational settings.

Educational leadership

Educational leadership means. knowing how to establish a community where teachers, parents, administrators, business and political leaders develop a shared understanding about what "ought to be done" to educate youth. This program will teach future school principals and teachers how to develop new designs for schools that promote student achievement, create democratic roles for citizens, draw on other community resources and contribute to the local economy.
